Abstract
This course equips students with the skills to strategically and methodically decode meaning in written English and re-code this meaning in the target language by teaching the theory of contrastive analysis. The course teaches students to analyse, compare and contrast the phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics of both languages through the use of parallel and comparative texts.
