Abstract
This course introduces students to the origins of the English Language and how it developed into its varieties around the world, in terms of its context of use in phonology, syntax and vocabulary. It explores the unique properties of these varieties of English, empowering students with the relevant knowledge and exposure to be able to interact professionally in multicultural speech communities.
