EAD555 : Malaysian contemporary art / College of Creative Arts

This course aims to introduce the students with the development of contemporary Malaysian art in relation to the socio-cultural development of the country as well as the styles of global art. The focus will be on the aspect of chronology, the continuity and change of styles of the artworks, namely painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, installation, mixed-media and new media art. In addition to styles, the course will also focus on art groups, events and artists.
