Abstract

This artwork “Jambatan Budaya” is a beautiful sculpture combining Malaysian and Indone- sian cultural elements. The sculpture was inspired by the traditional kite-flying activity, which is popular in both nations. Malaysia’s “Wau Bulan” kite and Indonesia’s “Layang-Layang jang- gan” kite are well-known and beloved in their respective countries. By combining these two kites, the sculpture symbolizes the collaboration and cultural fraternity between Malaysia and Indonesia. the artist created the “Jambatan Budaya” sculpture to showcase the beauty and significance of Malaysian and Indonesian culture and to promote collaboration and respect between the two nations. The bridge-like shape of the sculpture represents the connection between the two cultures, conveying cultural values, natural beauty, and the necessity of co- operation and respect. Overall, the artist’s intention was to create an inspiring work of art that highlights the importance of collaboration and respect between nations.
