Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determined effects of wheel diameter in selected variables towards cross country mountainbiking among SUKMA cyclists where ten subjects (N=10) were recruited. All of the subjects undergo two types of condition where they will ride a standard 27.5 and 29 inches wheel diameter mountain bike in a 4.0 km trail. The findings resulted in a significant difference in between time taken, average speed and top speed where 27.5 wheel diameter prevailed in terms of time taken and average speed. Meanwhile, 29 wheel diameter excels in gaining height top
speed. Thus, resulting the track favoured 27.5 wheel diameter in which it gives a better performance compared to the 29 wheel diameter.
