Awareness of electronic book (e-book) among the Bachelor Of Science In Information Studies (Hons) Library and Information Management (IM220) students in UiTM Kedah / Nurul Nadya Mat Nasir

Electronic (e-book) book can be define as a text and image-based publication in digital form produced on, published by, and readable on computers or other digital devices. E-book is included in the reference resources that being used by the students get the information. Reference resources can be divided into two types which are available in printed resources and electronic resources. This study is aim to seek for the awareness of e-book among Bachelor of Science in Information Studies (Honours) Library and Information Management (IM220) students in Universiti Teknologi MARA Kedah. This descriptive study was conducted to investigate the awareness of e-book that is provided by Perpustakaan Sultan Badlishah (PSB). The library promotion, knowledge and acceptance are the factors that influence the students' awareness. Finding of this research show that IM220 students are aware about the existing of e-book provided by PSB; however the number of e-book used by students still at the lowest number. In the future, researchers are encouraged to do research on e-book among lectures and investigate the effectiveness of e-book than the printed book.
