Abstract
This course concentrates on basic skills for ceramic giftware making either by studio or industrial ceramic method. Students will be introduced to the basic method of producing simple giftware. Students will be guided through various selected giftware projects with supporting series of lectures and critics sessions in workshop practice. Student will be exposed to the knowledge of making ceramic giftware in the constraint of ceramic material and technique. The design and development process of designing for ceramic giftware are also the main concern in this course. The introductions of ceramic material, firing technique and safety precaution in working area are also will be discuss.
