Abstract
This course will provide understanding the principle of art as a phenomenon or concept in the context of culture. Through this course, art is explained based on its forms as shapes, types, properties and structures and aesthetic principles. The art of icons, signs or symbols in the context sosio-cultural and their functions will also be discussed and explained in order to meet human needs in dealing with the sources of value, personal potential, socio-cultural and social institutions that are owned and used by the community.
