Awareness about Maysir among the Muslim community in Kuala Langat, Selangor / Nurul Najwa Halim

This study was conducted to identify the awareness of the Muslim community in Kuala Selangor related to Maysir. Any form involving betting money is counted as Maysir. The study was conducted around the residents of Kuala Langat only which includes sub -districts such as Tanjung 12, Telok Panglima Garang, Bandar, Batu, Jugra, Kelanang and Morib. Questionnaires were used as research instruments and 100 sets were distributed using online methods as in the randomly selected WhatsApp application. The methodology of this study uses quantitative methods. Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data in the form of percentage, frequency, mean, mode and median. The results of the study found that the mean value shown in each variable is at a high level that is the mean value is 4.682 in part B and 4.611 in part C. This study also found that there is a significant relationship between independent variables, namely awareness and understanding of Maysir in among the Muslim community in Kuala Langat. At the end of the writing of this study the researcher proposed to conduct a more in depth questionnaire on the understanding of Maysir. Researchers also suggest that other researchers can further expand their research aspects more widely, not only at the district level but also at the comparative level according to the states in Malaysia.
