Property management between Hibah and Wasiah: a case study among Muslim people in Kg Sungai Buaya, Banting, Selangor / Mumtaz Mahirah Azhar

Planning for property management is an aspect that needs to be emphasized, especially the management of estate distribution. According to statistics, the property of Muslims frozen due to unmanageable and claimed has increased every year until now, the accumulated amount is RM 70 billion and this situation is very worrying and has become one of the country's problems in the economic organization of Muslims in Malaysia. Therefore, public awareness of Hibah and Wasiah as two important and complementary instruments for the inheritance distribution process is strongly encouraged to be practiced. In addition, these two instruments can be considered as an alternative to help facilitate the process of inheritance distribution and both of these processes are planned or managed before the death of the property owner. Hibah and wasiah are also one of the ways that can fulfill the wishes of property owners or heirs to give their property to individuals they like thus guaranteeing life and safeguarding the welfare of all communities, their family members and those who are not entitled to inheritance. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to increase the awareness of the population in Kg. Sungai Buaya, Banting Selangor on the importance of estate management through hibah and wasiah as well as increasing the knowledge of residents and the outside community so that the issue of property management is emphasized and the development of Islamic heritage management in Malaysia continues to grow until the next generation. The research method used by the researcher is to use quantitative methods through the distribution of online questions and interviews of some respondents and the results found that a large number of respondents know about the importance of property but there are also a small number do not know, especially knowledge about hibah and faraid. Therefore, there are some suggestions that have been given so that every community is aware that the importance of property management between hibah and wasiah is also very important as a complement to the inheritance distribution process.
