Abstract

After the Covid-19 pandemic, baseline activity returned to normal with few restrictions and standard operating procedures (SOPs). One of its activities is refueling, however many are unaware of the cleanliness of the gas nozzle pump. However, users at gas stations only expect staff to clean the gas nozzle pump before other users use it. BEMBO is a gas nozzle pump that reduces users being infected with the virus. The main function of this product is to refuel gasoline and diesel. An additional function is a refillable hand sanitizer spray. This product does not use electronic components as it is very dangerous to use at gas stations and avoids the occurrence of explosions or fires as a result of a mixture of gas and electricity. The color of the gas nozzle pump depends on the type of Ron and Diesel. The objectives of Bembo are (1) to design a friendly user gas nozzle pump include hand sanitizer, (2) to design a gas nozzle pump product that implement mini­malist concept, (3) to design a gas nozzle pump product that can use all vehicles and (4) to stay safe and stop spread of the virus. Based on the online survey, it was found that the majority of respondents have no awareness to prevent he transmission of covid19 epidemic. They prioritize the work they do over their own health such as using a petrol pump without sanitizing their hands first or wearing gloves.
