Analisis kontrastif strategi penterjemahan harf al-jar dalam kisah Ibnu Yaqzan / Siti Zubaidah Zulkifli and Nurazan Mohmad Rouyan

Bidang penterjemahan bahasa Arab ke bahasa Melayu semakin mendapat tempat dalam kalangan para penterjemah dan penuntut bahasa Arab pada masa kini. Malah, kajian berkaitan bidang penterjemahan Arab-Melayu banyak dikaji dalam pelbagai cabang linguistik namun kajian berkaitan analisis kontrastif strategi penterjemahan Arab-Melayu masih belum dikaji oleh pengkaji lepas, lebih-lebih lagi kajian yang melibatkan penterjemahan harf al-jar. Masalah utama penterjemahan harf al-jar ke bahasa Melayu berpunca daripada ketidakmampuan penterjemah dan pelajar bahasa Arab dalam menghasilkan padanan harf al-jar yang tepat dan masih keliru makna harf al-jar yang manakah sesuai dalam terjemahan bahasa Melayu. Oleh yang demikian, makalah ini bertujuan untuk mengetengahkan aspek penterjemahan harf al-jar yang baik melalui padanan harf al-jar ke bahasa Melayu dalam terjemahan Arab-Melayu novel Ibnu Yaqzan. Selain itu, kajian ini turut mengenalpasti strategi penterjemahan yang digunakan dalam analisis kontrastif penterjemahan harf al-jar dengan kata sendi nama bahasa Melayu dalam novel tersebut. Kajian ini dijalankan menggunakan kaedah kualititatif melalui analisis kontrastif dan deskriptif strategi penterjemahan harf al- jar dalam kisah Ibnu Yaqzan. Dapatan kajian menyarankan bahawa harf al-jar yang ada dalam kisah Ibnu Yaqzan tidak boleh diterjemahkan secara literal, malah diterjemah mengikut makna berdasarkan kesesuaian ayat yang dimaksudkan oleh pengarang. The field of translating Arabic into Malay is gaining ground among translators and students of Arabic today. In fact, studies related to the field of Arabic-Malay translation have been extensively studied in various linguistic branc hes, but studies related to the contrastive analysis of Arabic-Malay translation strategies have not yet been studied by past researchers, especially studies involving the translation of harf al-jar. The main problem with the translation of harf al-jar into the Malay language stems from the inability of translators and Arabic students to produce an accurate match of harf al-jar and still confused about the appropriate meaning of harf al-jar in the Malay translation. There- fore, this paper aims to highlight aspects of the good translation of harf al-jar through the matching of harf al-jar to the Malay language in the Arabic-Malay translation of Ibnu Yaqzan's novel. In addition, this study also identifies the translation strategy used in the contrastive analysis of the translation of the harf al-jar with the conjunction of Malay nouns in the novel. This study was conducted using a qualitative method through contrastive and descriptive analysis of the translation strategy of harf al-jar in the story of Ibnu Yaqzan. The research findings suggest that the harf al-jar in Ibnu Yaqzan's story cannot be translated literally, but rather translated according to the meaning based on the appropriateness of the verse intended by the author. In addition, the translation of the meaning of the word harf al-jar in this story uses translation strategies such as communication strategies, dynamic strategies and relevant theories. Accordingly, this paper suggests that the contrastive analysis of the translation of the harf al-jar should be given attention and highlighted to translators and students of Arabic so that they do not get confused in translating the harf al-jar. The translation aspects of harf al-jar presented in this study can be used as a guide and reference for Arabic-Malay students and translators.
