Student perception's on air conditioning performance in UiTM Shah Alam / Muhammad Shafiq Zahari

The aim of this research is to study on the performance on air condition system toward the student in UiTM Shah Alam. It is established to identify the perception of students during the learning process in the Lecture room and Lecture hall. It is also to investigate the maintenance management of the air condition system in the Uitm Shah Alam. The research is done on the Faculty Architecture, Planning and Surveying (FSPU), Faculty Art and Design (FSSR) and Faculty Mechanical Engineering (FKM) with participation of student in getting perception of air condition system performance in their learning area. The dissertation meant to identify the perception of the student regarding the air condition system in the lecture room. Besides, it is subjected to study the maintenance management toward an air conditioning system in the classroom at Uitm Shah Alam and to propose the maintenance program for improving maintenance program provided. The research is involved the questionnaire with respondent comprise of the student and formal interview with maintenance management staff in the UiTM Shah Alam. Based on the result, the student is not satisfied on the performance of the air conditioning system provided in the learning space in the Uitm Shah alam. The result also shows the preventive maintenance is currently use by the maintenance management to maintain all air conditioning system in the Uitm Shah Alam. The introducing of the Condition Based Maintenance to be added in the maintenance program will help to improved the maintenance management to rectify and maintain the air conditioning system in the classroom. With this also made to improve the satisfaction of the student regarding the air conditioning system provided in a classroom. The research also will provide the proposals to improve the maintenance management and altogether will improve the perception of the students.
