The awareness of waqf among Muslims in Perbadanan Wakaf Selangor (PWS) through cash waqf fund: study case in Selangor / Amirhuzair Izdlan Hasmadi

This research presents a study on awareness of waqf among Muslims in Perbadanan Wakaf Selangor (PWS) through the cash waqf fund, study case in Selangor Darul Ehsan to familiarize peoples’ thoughts and understanding towards the cash waqf fund. On top to overcome or cater the lack of awareness and false thoughts or misconceptions the usefulness of cash waqf, this study may help to reduce or to brief more clearer by suggesting an improvement or recommendation in creating some solutions to eliminate these problems. There are many factors and aspects that can be related to the level of awareness by Muslim community regarding the functions of cash waqf fund not only to those in needs but also to the society as well. Starting by fulfilment of the research objectives as a guide to identify what is cash waqf and its function, well informed about current practised of Muslims in waqf institution and also to enhance the level of awareness among Muslim community towards the cash waqf fund. To achieve those objectives, the method will be used which is qualitative research. This method can be conducted interview session where can be obtained a response or answer from the selected officers or staffs that worked at PWS. From the interview session also, the outcome may help to answer the objectives that have been formed for this research. The results from this study will discover the exact cash waqf fund and its functions and the awareness of Muslims on cash waqf which can help to promote this form of waqf as well as further research for implementation purpose. Overall, it may conclude the level of awareness among Muslims towards waqf especially cash waqf become advanced and its functions that could bring good impacts to the society.
