Abstract

This book provides an overview of the Malaysian legal history and the principles of its main legal system. It includes chapters on the various sources of law and the court system in Malaysia. It also introduces some general principles involved in Malaysia's land law and torts. Our principal aims in writing this book were to offer a general idea of the legal system that governs Malaysia and to provide an uncomplicated reading resources through which readers, especially those from the non-law background, may explore some of the issues involved when dealing with the law in Malaysia. It is hoped that the book will assist readers to comprehend the various aspects of the legal system in Malaysia and recognize the basic principles of torts and land law that will be applicable in their lives.
