Abstract

The popularity of whiteboard has increased rapidly in the late 1990s and they are used in many organizations. Whiteboard can be defined as the re-writable tool that is used for delivering information to the people especially for educational purpose. The whiteboard is made of glossy material usually in white surface built for non-permanent markings. With regards to the underlying principle the whiteboard is a non-electronic variation of the traditional “rewritable” schoolroom blackboard, but it is a white instead of black and came from material that ca be written on with colour markers. Basically, there are two (2) types of markers that can be used to write on the board which are chalk and marker pen. For the board there are also two types of boards which are whiteboard and green board/blackboard. The innovation has rapidly changed over the last few decades. Anatomy of Smart Wipeboard (SW) The idea of Smart Wipeboard is derived from the previous invention by Martin Heit. Back then in 1950s he used to write down a message on a photograph film and it is easily wiped off with a damp tissue. This innovation is purposely built to eliminate few problems that faced by the user and at the same time enhance the efficiency of its application. How SW works? The SW cleaning process is similar to the old cleaning process where it’s requires human power in order to clean it. The SW is a smart cleaner, has a built in eraser which allows the user to clean the whiteboard easily. In addition, the SW eraser is a long eraser which located vertically on the whiteboard. The vertical eraser is connected with the upper and lower holder in order to support for the cleaning process. Both upper and lower holder comes with a roller. Thus, with this application the stuff on the whiteboard can easily clean with the vertical eraser. In order to make it work, the force is needed to move the vertical eraser from left to the right and vice versa. As a result, it will increase the performance of the erasing. Why Choose Smart Wipeboard (SW)? The reason why people should move to SW is it offers a greater advantage to the user and it is an investment. The benefit of SW it is more efficient compared to the previous version of whiteboard. This innovation is convenient to use. Approximately it takes about 3 to 5 minutes to clean up the whiteboard. Besides that, the SW is Eco friendly because it requires no electricity. In conclusion, this innovation will contribute to society and improve the quality of life.
