A study on political engagement through social network among youth of Indah Permai Sepanggar, Kota Kinabalu / Jiffry Ardin and Redhayyana Amsir

The involvement of mass in discussing the political issues through the social network especially the youth will make them to understand the particular issues deeply and more input received due to the exchange of knowledge and ideas as compared to the mainstream media. The research on the political engagement through social network was conducted to explore the correlation between both field due to the problem of limited on empirical study which make the association sound myth and half truth. Objective of the research are to determine the levels of political engagement among the youth through social network and to analyze the association between the roles of the social network in political engagement among the youth. The study demonstrates the association of the roles of social network with the level of political engagement possessed by among the youth in Indah Permai, Sepanggar, Kota Kinabalu. For the association between the variables, it was indicates that there are positive significant correlation between the all variable involved.
