To earn students respect / Ida Haryanti Mohd Noor

Respect is a positive feeling towards someone by treating them with politeness, honour and care. In the education system, respect is important and essential as it will promote a healthy learning environment. Subsequently, it will lead to the development of trust and successful learning. Of course, as educators, we expect our students to be respectful to us. But, it cannot work in one way. Thus, in order to gain students’ respect, the educators should show their respect to students first.
