Abstract

The government has rolled out various incentives and tax exemption for individuals not just under budget 2021 but also under Pelan Jana Semula Ekonomi Negara (PENJANA) or the National Economic Recovery Plan and the special Perlindungan Ekonomi dan Rakyat Malaysia (PERMAI) assistance package. With all of these plans and incentives, the government has increased, expanded, and extended the scope of the individual tax relief schemes introduced in 2020.
