Development of Practical Student Information System (PSIS)

The concept of Practical Training is translating the theoretical concept into practice and applies it in real environment in order to get more understanding in the related field. This type of application mostly applies in daily life in several perspectives such as business marketing field, education fields, etc; therefore, the purpose of this system development is to solve the FSKM problems in relation to update the practical student's information. However, the main purpose of this project is to develop a prototype of Practical Student Information System (PSIS) for FSKM in order to minimize the HEA problems, which will make the process of attaining practical training much easier, well recorded and always have up to date information. The PSIS focuses on the applying industrial training placement, get some information about practical training, submit and update particular detail via online and etc. The research objective in this project is to identify the user requirements, identify the process and develop the PSIS for HEA department in FSKM. The scope of this research is within the student who needs to attend the practical training, Coordinator of practical training who responsible to monitor and responsible to post the company that suitable for practical training placement and also post the announcement to give updated info to student and HEA staffs that retrieve updated student data for filing purposes. The significant of this project is to ensure the HEA staffs retrieve the updated practical student's information for recording purpose. The second significant is Coordinator of Practical Training which helps the Coordinator to retrieve and share the practical students' information with HEA in faster and efficient and also to ensure the coordinator has an easier work because coordinator needs to monitor the flow of student information to ensure the process is running properly. Coordinator also needs to publish the company that available for student doing their practical training.
