Abstract

The Identification and Enumeration of Microorganisms Prototype: Food Sample (IEM) is developed for the Faculty of Applied Sciences of UiTM Shah Alam to handle the information and report of the microbiology experiment. Besides, IEM also provides platform for lecturer to identify students who have submitted the laboratory report. By using this system, it will help the students to manage their experiments reports. Other than that, lecturers also can handle their students report with more easily. The scope of this project is for the Lecturer and Students of Faculty of Applied Science. V-shaped model has being use as the methodology to develop IEM. This methodology is consists of two general phases which is verification phase and validation phase. Verification phase more focus on the system requirements and also the initial phase in develop IEM while validation phase is more focus on the testing part. IEM was developed using JAVA as programming language, Adobe Dreamweaver and Net Beans IDE 7.1 to design and MySQL for the database and management data. Hopefully this project will be done successfully and achieve the project objectives.
