Abstract

There are few ways of registering a course such as paper-based registration, online registration and SMS registration and the current process to register a course is by using online registration which requires student to access the internet in order to complete the process. There are few problems with the current process which are; Based on survey conducted to 30 students of Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences internet often disconnected and computer hangs especially during due date of course registration leads to course registration process incomplete. Server often congested also one of the reasons why students cannot fulfil the requirement (Bujai.H, 2011).Since mobile phone becomes affordable, and course registration using Short Message Service should be the method to compliment the current "online registration.
