Abstract

According to Collin Cope,(2001) "Requirement Service Interface (RSI) approach is a specific way of engineering the functionality of system requirement, modeling a high level system services and specification of the user interface. It promotes the planned way of developing a website. This approach provides a framework for analyzing and understanding potential use case deliverables and their relationship." The RSI approach also aims to assist in maximizing software re-use by partitioning functionality into those aspects which are concerned with managing the interface to an actor and those areas which make up the re-use core of the system. Thus, according to Ratio Group studies, a great number of software project failures can be traced to poor requirement definition and lack of users' involvement in the requirement engineering process. Due to that with the roles of RSI Approach, this research will figure out the benefits of RSI Approach and its contribution to requirement engineering process as well to adopt the RSI Approach in refinement requirement of E-Counseling as a platform to be tested. The first section of this project will gives introductory of the roles of RSI approach, the problem arise in during capturing requirement process that will lead to requirement engineering process would be done. Followed with second section which describes the resources of academic journal to support this research, the third section describes on how this research is conducted proceed to fourth section which describes the findings of this research and last but not least the last section describes the conclusion of overall of this research. As to be concluded, this approach will be used in refinement requirement of E-Counseling System.
