Abstract

The purpose of this study is to get the perception of student and teacher on the use of courseware in teaching science subject by using qualitative approach by the method of interview and observation. Feedback, teacher conducts and student behaviour become a main concern in this study. Several issues have been identified such as technical problem, broken or lost of equipment and low proficiency in English. Besides, from the result that can be related to the significance of the project, it is suggested that the development of the courseware should not only focusing to majority of students but they should come across to the minority group which were the low achiever students. In this study, teacher explain that, low achiever students should be given an alternative way of teaching and learning in order to help them to understand the topic. Other than that is the positive response from the students and teachers towards the use of courseware in teaching and learning process that show courseware had been accepted as alternative way of teaching without replacing the main role of educator either in school or in other institution.
