Abstract

This proposal is primarily aimed to review the federal constitution regarding the right of freedom of information in Malaysia. This proposal is purport to focus on the right of information to be included as a fundamental right and liberties. Hence, this right must be given to the citizens of Malaysia. In an effort to reach the objective of this paper, we will carefully examining and critically analyze the adequacy of provision in Federal Constitution of Malaysia 1957 in governing the freedom of information and to identify the gaps in the current legislation.
