Abstract

We are final semester students of MARA University of Technology Samarahan Campus who taking course in Diploma in Public Administration, have conducted a research of “A Socio-Economic Study On The Public Perception Of Upgrading Of Betong As A New Division”. Then the purpose of this research is to fulfil the people toward the declaration of Betong as a new division. Furthermore, the objective of this research is to find out and identify on the people opinion, regarding upgrading of Betong as a new division. It is important in order to know their perception whether they satisfied or not with the change brought by the government. Moreover, in this research we had collected information by conducting an interview and distributing questionnaire to the people in some Betong area such as Betong town and few villages and long houses. Actually we had chose 100 respondents randomly, which it consist of both male and female respondents.
