Abstract

This is the idea and message that I want to portray through my masterpiece. I want to tell the world that All Lives Matter. Is it offensive? I don’t think so. We all know what is happening now here in our world. During this pandemic the racism has gotten into the mainstream again, especially in the US and some parts of Europe. Black Lives Matter (BLM), an international social movement, formed in the United States in 2013, is dedicated to fighting racism and anti-Black violence, especially in the form of police brutality. The name Black Lives Matter signals condemnation of the unjust killings of Black people by police (Black people are far more likely to be killed by police in the United States than white people) and the demand that society values the lives and humanity of Black people as much as it values the lives and humanity of white people. And now there is a new hate crime in the US which our Asian people are involved. We must work to end this kind of racism and promote equality. Anti-Asian sentiment has grown significantly since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, with many in the community citing the disparaging rhetoric of the Trump administration as a factor.
