Abstract
Behind every great man is a great woman. This artwork symbolises the power of women in Gaza, Palestine. The spirit that she has is within her power. She represents all women in Gaza by waving the flag in her hand. The fighting spirit that flows within herself is for Gaza’s victory. The woman‘s jihad warrior behind the mask is to fight for the sake of Allah. The struggle, the pain, the burden, the bloodshed of war are the proof of sincerity of gender equality and women’s empowerment around the world. Gaza women confess that their blood is a sacrifice for Al-Aqsa mosque. Dying for the life of their homeland is an important duty for them. For them, resisting an quelling the enemy is the is the duty of every Muslim, male or female. A woman can go out to fight the enemy without her husband’s permission.
