Implementation fire safety at Sekolah Menengah Agama Rakyat in Kelantan / Tengku Nor Maziah Raja Soh @ Raja Azmi

According to the authority guidelines, regulates the Occupational Safety and Health requirements to ensure all students and staff have a safe environment when there are in schools area. Other than that, the Education Act, and Occupational Safety and Health Act, regulate the requirements for fire safety in schools. However, students in the school situation can still be expose to the hazards and risks to students, teachers, support staff and private sector workers. Awareness of safety while in the area is still at a low level. In Malaysia is still no formal implementation of the guidelines on fire evacuation aspects while at the school. Lack of knowledge about important of safety to the fire evacuation among students and staff employees is a key factor applies accidents at schools. (Ilyani, 2006). Normally, the school will hold a fire drill to train students to conduct themselves during a fire. It will made in cooperation with the fire and rescue Malaysia. It is a necessary requirement for every school to have it. Most local authorities have safety laws and regulations of some kind. Typical safety regulations and fire codes are commonly issued and administered by the municipality and interior ministry or civil defence. Most of the regulations deal with the structural safety of buildings. These regulations govern the issue of building license or permit. (Brauer, 1990).
