Understanding data loss due to human error using Dooyeweerd's aspect / Maslina Musa

This study was carried out in order to understand data loss due to human error by using Dooyeweerd's aspects. Research was done to study on cause of data loss due to human error while handling organizational daily task The purpose of this study is to give a better understanding and comprehensive awareness on preventing data loss that are caused by people through the aspects of Dooyeweerd. This thesis sets out to study ten of Dooyeweerd's aspects regarding human nature that was classified through three main categories: individual human aspects, social aspects and societal aspects. As for this thesis, a qualitative research approach of case study-based had been used. Subsequent to this research approach, an interview and close observation at two public organizations regarding data loss issues was done. Through the analysis of collected data, this thesis summarizes the results of the understanding of data loss due to human error. In conclusion, this thesis give a better picture of human nature and also give an exclusive comprehension on human error through Dooyeweerd's perspective. This thesis gives a new interpretation on the reason why human tend to made an error while they were working on their task This interpretation gives understanding to organizations regarding data loss issues and can help organizations in developing the prevention strategy.
