Political participation among youth in Alor Limbat, Kuala Terengganu / Amira Yasmin Azmi

Malaysia is one of the country that implemented democracy and give the freedom to the people to participate and involve in politics and the people can vote during elections when their age are eligible to register as a voter. There is supposedly no limitation for the people especially youth to participate in politics as they are the new generation and their voices and opinions are needed by the government as to make any improvement or fulfil their needs or demands in order to gain the youth’s trust and vote during elections. The power of youth in politics cannot be deny as there are many young politicians that can be representative on behalf of youth. Hence, the government need to attract the youth’s interest towards politics as to ensure that there is continuous of new generation in politics landscape as they can bring new changes or improvement that can attract more youth to participate either through conventional or non-conventional forms of politics. Due to the changes of state government and the trend of changes in representative from one political party to other political party make me decided to choose the areas in Alor Limbat as this areas is one of the seat for DUN which is in House of Representative and known as N17.
