A study on recreational facilities at Taman Tasik Seremban, Negeri Sembilan / Ezzah Atirah Khairulanwar

In recreation sector, the quality of recreation facilities is important to serve the better communities. The cities always associated with the economic activities, from these activities it will increasingly affect the natural environment of the city. The existence of recreation area in the city plays an important role in controlling the balance between development and conservation of the natural environment. A study has been conducted on recreation facilities at Taman Tasik Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. The study was focused to a few issues and problems related to factors that contribute the sustainability of Taman Tasik Seremban that include, parking area, abandoned facilities, and safety aspects. To achieve the aim of this study, some objectives were provided that include to explore the recreation facilities of the strategic location of Taman Tasik Seremban, to identify the background of the study area, to understand principles of recreational facilities planning, to examine issues and problems of facilities planning including their conditions and to propose strategies to improve the situation. There are three (2) methods used that include questionnaire through online, observation. Based on the 41 respondents, the finding shows that there were five (3) problem statement that contribute to the recreation facility at Taman Tasik Seremban that include lack of parking area, lack of safety facilities and not well-maintained and abandoned facilities. In the end of this research, some recommendations were recommended that include by improving the attraction of recreation, add more recreation facilities, improve the existing facilities, and provide safety and security at recreation area.
