The provision of parking at commercial area Taman Bahagia Senai Johor / Nur Aliya Arissa Zulkifli

The growth of the function of a city as well as the increase in the use of motor cars has resulted in a high demand for parking space for all types of cities and including commercial areas. This development, which is followed by an increase in the density of land use development such as residential, industrial and commercial, makes the existing parking guidelines and standards for a commercial area. Because the demand for parking and its need is happening so fast, this study has made reference to the approaches and methods that have been used by other cities in studying the problems that occur in the commercial area. The actual demand for parking space for this study area was surveyed and indicated there was a significant inadequacy. The study area was made in the commercial area of Pekan Senai which has problems in terms of lack of parking and traffic congestion that occurs due to users parking their vehicles on the side of the road. This problem is very important because to provide convenience to users who often come to the commercial area of Pekan Senai can park their vehicles safely, a sign of concern about the condition of their cars. At the same time, this study also aims to provide adequate parking by proposing various systems and methods that can improve the quality of the parking lot. In fact, this study also focuses on the conditions and systems used in the area. This is because, with a solid system and comfortable conditions can provide convenience to users who come to use the parking lot.
