Abstract

Learning the basic techniques for flute are essential in order for flutist to extend their techniques. This piece contain a lot of extended techniques that is quite difficult to be adapted for beginner. In order for them to improve their extended techniques, they have to practice a lot of things to make an improvement on their extended techniques. In this study, the focus extended techniques are the embouchure and lips flexibility to improve the tone quality production in this piece. This study also depict the character or enhance the emotion of melody in this piece. Other than that, this study also elaborate on what the performer do to further improve or diverse their tone quality in order to achieve a convincing performance.
