Abstract

An innovation was made in THE SCOB OINTMENT by adding coffee powder with organic substances such as sea cucumber, olive oil and beeswax. Coffee powder contains strong anti-bacteria that can heal and prevent the formation of pus wounds. Sea cucumber oil is proven to treat minor wounds faster and efficiently. While pure olive oil is proven to help lessen scar formation by strengthening the skin collagen structure. Additionally, beeswax provides a film of protection against irritants while still allowing the skin to breathe. A lab test (FTIR) partnership with UTHM is done by comparing THE SCOB OINMENT with ordinary gamat gel. It shows that THE SCOB OINMENT contain higher antioxidant with significant amount of phenolic compound which indicates it is more organic compared to other commercial ointment. Thus, we strongly believe that THE SCOB OINMENT will be able to replace all the harmful chemical ointment in the market.
