Abstract

This study are conduct with topic Impact of Tourism Industry towards Gross Domestic Product
(GDP) in Malaysia from 1988 to 2017. This study would like to investigate the significant
relationship among the GDP and others variables that give effect to GDP. The variable chosen
are tourism receipts, tourist arrival and exchange rate. This study will be done based on data
collection from secondary source with using time series analysis with 30 observation. Problem
statement for this study come out with does tourism crisis will significantly impact towards
Malaysia’s GDP and examine whether fluctuation in exchange rate will affect to tourist arrival
and tourism receipts. However, objectives for this study to look forward the significantly of the
tourism industry that is related with tourism receipts, tourist arrival and exchange rate towards
GDP. Moreover, the researcher has obtain all the objectives.
