Lack of safety, management and maintenance system of recreation park : a case study of Taman Rekreasi Ampang Jajar, Permatang Pauh, Pulau Pinang / Nazihah Ruslan

Final Year Project (FYP) report are about the issues of lack of safety, management and maintenance at Taman Rekreasi Ampang Jajar. It is the work of administration, planning and maintenance to develop a healthy recreation park. Maintenance and management system the recreational park is one of the facilities that the Majlis Bandaraya Seberang Perai (MBSP) according to the Jabatan Perancangan Bandar and Desa,2013. This recreation park are still does not reach the level of satisfaction desired by the visitors. In this study, there are some issues related to the problem statement, which is safety issues for visitor, the level of management system is inefficient and the level of maintenance of the amusement park is not satisfactory. The objective of this study is to identify element of available facilities and equipment in recreation planning, to identify the issues and problem that have in Taman
Recreation Ampang Jajar and the lastly is to purpose the effective solution to increase visitor rates in this recreation park. There are two type of data collection in this study project which is primary data and secondary data. Primary data consists of observation, questionnaire, and interview. Secondary data consist of various sources such as books, journals, websites, theses and etc. Statistics Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software are also have been
used in this study method. This study involves 40 respondents form the users who visited Taman Rekreasi Ampang Jajar. Suggestions and recommendations were forwarded on the measures to be taken by responsible parties to make sure that the level of management and
maintenance are at the highest level.
