Abstract

The provision of parking for development must be followed to provided guidelines that this also applied to the hospital that also needs a large parking area. The requirement of parking for each development is based on the parking demand and supply analysis as it is very important. This is to ensure the development has an adequate parking area in order to avoid becomes a big
issue to the visitor. The parking has been a long issue at the government hospital and it still happens in this modern era. The reason it still occurred is because of the parking demand that is increasing from time to time and it is hard to control the number of visitors that go to the hospital every day. In fact, the parking supply that been provided at the hospital still cannot accommodate the visitors. These issues cannot easily solve by providing other parking area
types that same with the existing but need to see the potentially suitable parking types that can meet the requirements of parking demand and supply at the hospital. Thus, this study’s purpose is to study the use of parking area at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Kedah. In this study, there are two (2) types of surveys that will be conducted which are questionnaire survey and observation
survey. The purpose of this survey is to collect data about the issues and problems that are occurred at the hospital. The data from both surveys will be analyzed and determine the suitable recommendations to solve the issues. The result from this study can be a strategic plan for handling this problem successfully and the hospital management need to discuss and come out with a good solution where everyone can use the parking area comfortably.
