Abstract

This article documents and analyzes the transformative impact of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools—such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude—on the global educational landscape, focusing on student learning experiences and pedagogical practices. As students increasingly adopt these technologies for tasks ranging from content generation and language translation to personalized tutoring and assessment support, generative AI serves as an active learning partner capable of enhancing concept comprehension and fostering inclusive learning environments. However, this rapid integration also introduces critical challenges, particularly regarding academic integrity, plagiarism, and student over-dependence when AI is utilized as a shortcut rather than an educational aid. Ultimately, the paper underscores the dual nature of generative AI in education, highlighting the need to balance its innovative potential for personalized learning with ethical safeguards to preserve academic standards.
