Behind the Scenes at Hospis Malaysia. Designed to elucidate the foundational operations of community-based palliative care, the initiative highlights the multidisciplinary framework required to deliver continuous, holistic end-of-life care in home and community settings. Evaluation of the program reveals three primary outcomes: (1) Enhancement of Public Palliative Care Awareness, demystifying hospice services and promoting early integration into terminal patient care; (2) Demonstration of Interdisciplinary Healthcare Delivery, illustrating the coordinated roles of palliative physicians, nurses, social workers, and volunteers in home care management; and (3) Strengthening of Community-Based Support Systems, emphasizing patient advocacy, family caregiver support, and symptom relief outside conventional hospital infrastructure. Overall, this project serves as a vital model for expanding palliative care delivery, advancing public health literacy, and elevating compassionate end-of-life care within the community.
