This study aimed to compare perceived stress levels between student athletes and non student athletes at Universiti Teknologi MARA Seremban three to address conflicting findings regarding whether sports participation reduces or adds to psychological stress. Using a descriptive survey design researchers surveyed three hundred fifty respondents selected through purposive sampling and measured perceived stress with the Malaysian Perceived Stress Scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and an independent samples t test at a significance threshold of zero point zero five. Results showed an overall moderate level of stress among students with student athletes scoring a mean of fourteen point six and standard deviation of three point forty nine while non student athletes scored a mean of eighteen point eight and standard deviation of four point zero two. However the t test indicated that the observed difference in perceived stress between student athletes and non student athletes was not statistically significant.
