This study investigated whether compression socks influence athletic performance and comfort in tropical environments like Malaysia where hot and humid weather might alter physical outcomes. Using a randomized crossover design nineteen active university students completed six weeks of testing comparing Decathlon graduated compression socks against normal running socks with a one-week washout period between trials. Participants performed the multistage fitness test three times per week during each phase to measure aerobic capability and immediately completed questionnaires evaluating thermal tactile and fit comfort. This experimental approach allowed researchers to collect objective performance and subjectively reported comfort data to address the lack of evidence regarding compression wear in warm regions.
