Notational analysis of the technical characteristics of Lee Zii Jia from the quarter-final to final matches at the Sathio Group Australian Open 2024

This study used notational analysis to evaluate and compare the technical performance characteristics of badminton player Lee Zii Jia against his opponents from the quarter final to the final of the Sathio Group Australian Open two thousand twenty four. By analyzing official match videos through Nacsport software the researchers measured the frequency and effectiveness of eight key technical indicators including the serve smash drive clear drop lob net shot and net kill. The objective was to provide objective match data to help coaches and sports analysts understand the specific technical factors and tactical executions that contribute to success at the elite level of badminton.
