Anterior cruciate ligament injuries frequently occur in sports involving sudden deceleration, landing, and rapid changes of direction like badminton. Amateur players face a higher risk because they often lack adequate lower limb strength and access to structured injury prevention programs. To address the limited research on this group, a randomized controlled study evaluated the effects of a six week plyometric training program on lower limb strength as a protective measure against joint injury. Ten amateur badminton players aged eighteen to twenty five were divided into an experimental group that received specialized jump training and a control group that maintained standard routines. Standing long jump distances were recorded before and after the intervention to assess improvements in lower body power and determine whether plyometric exercises can enhance physical resilience in amateur athletes.
