Abstract

22 November 2025 The IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Malaysia Student Congress 2025, held on 22 November 2025 at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), successfully brought together 60 student participants from leading universities including UiTM, UNITEN, UPM, UTM, UKM, and MMU, under the organisation of the IEEE UiTM Student Branch, FKE Shah Alam. The congress focused on raising awareness of sustainable energy transition and emerging technologies, while strengthening collaboration among future engineers in line with SDG 7, SDG 9, and SDG 17. The programme featured keynote remarks by the Deputy Chair of IEEE PES Malaysia, expert industry sharing sessions, professional networking activities, a technical visit to UNITEN’s Solar PV Rooftop, and interactive group work culminating in student presentations on innovative responses to global energy challenges
