Abstract

Hamstring flexibility is essential for football players to optimize sprinting kicking and direction changes while reducing the risk of muscle strain injuries. This pretest posttest experimental study examined the effects of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching alone compared to proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation combined with kinesio taping and a control group among twelve male recreational football players. Participants underwent their assigned four week interventions three times weekly, with hamstring flexibility evaluated before and after the testing period using the active knee extension test and the sit and reach test. Through descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, the study evaluated within group and between group differences to determine whether combining kinesio taping with stretching yields superior flexibility gains in athletic conditioning and rehabilitation settings.
