Abstract

This study evaluated the effect of isometric and isotonic squat warmups on vertical jump height in trained male university athletes from UiTM Negeri Sembilan. Twelve participants were randomly split into three groups to perform either static squat holds, dynamic squats at seventy five percent of their one repetition maximum, or a standard warmup without weight. Researchers measured countermovement jump height immediately, three minutes, and six minutes following the exercises to determine peak performance enhancement over time. Analysis was conducted using repeated measures statistical testing to compare neuromuscular performance outcomes across all experimental conditions.
