Abstract

This study evaluated the acute effects of plyometric and general warm up protocols on agility performance among eighteen male university rugby players from UiTM Seremban aged eighteen to twenty-five. Using a randomized pre post experimental design, participants were divided into equal groups of nine to complete either a plyometric or general warm up routine. Agility was assessed using the Illinois Agility Test at baseline as well as one, three, and five minutes post activation to determine which conditioning protocol is better capitalized on post activation performance enhancement to improve change of direction speed.
