Innovating healthcare: radar-integrated robots for fall detection

The academic achievement of Associate Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Rozita Jailani and her research team from the College of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), on securing an international research grant valued at RM 50,000.00 from the British Council. The grant supports their project, titled *"Radar-Integrated Robot System for Fall Detection in Hospital Settings: Dual-PhD Program,"* which aims to advance healthcare robotics through radar-based monitoring technologies to improve patient safety and fall detection within medical facilities. Supported by team members Prof. Ir. Dr. Nur Emileen Abdul Rashid, Prof. Ir. Dr. Zuhaina Haji Zakaria, Dr. Khairul Khaizi Mohd Shariff, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sheila A/P Belayutham, this collaborative initiative underscores UiTM's commitment to international research partnerships, technological innovation, and postgraduate research development.
