Advancing green technology: revising the CPMV certification module

UiTM, College of Engineering (2024) Advancing green technology: revising the CPMV certification module. Bulletin. College of Engineering, Shah Alam.
Abstract

This project marks a significant milestone in advancing Malaysia's green technology capacity-building and energy management frameworks. Led by Prof. Ir. Dr. Nofri Yenita Dahlan, the team from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) successfully secured a consultancy and revision grant from the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) for the project titled "Certified Professional in Measurement and Verification (CPMV) Module Revision." The initiative focuses on updating, restructuring, and enhancing the professional training curriculum for Measurement and Verification (M&V) practitioners, ensuring alignment with current international standards, emerging energy efficiency policies, and evolving industrial practices. By refining the analytical methodologies, measurement protocols, and technical competencies required for energy savings performance auditing, the revised module equips industry professionals with the technical rigor needed to verify energy conservation measures effectively. Ultimately, this project strengthens national expertise in energy management, supports the operationalization of green technology initiatives, and contributes directly to Malaysia's strategic targets for energy efficiency and sustainable carbon footprint reduction.
